DISCOVERY
Sellers submit their information and financials to the Utopia Kingdom team along with a request for an initial seller’s discovery call.
Only 6.8% of businesses that contact Utopia Kingdom reach the discovery call acceptance phase of the acquisition process.
Therefore, if you are invited to a discovery call with our team it is a very positive sign that we are interested in your business, and that we feel it has a great potential for a successful exit.
The discovery call is an informal and relaxed first stage of communication between the business owner and one or more members of the Utopia Kingdom team.
In addition to learning more about the business and the potential for Utopia Kingdom to acquire the business, the discovery call has 2 key objectives: to understand the aims and objectives of the seller, and whether the Utopia Kingdom team can deliver on those objectives.
VALUATION DETERMINATION
Valuation is a tangible determination of a business’s worth. An accurate valuation protects all parties involved in an acquisition.
Utopia Kingdom uses an accepted industry standard multiple of EBIDTA or SDE to determine a fair and objective valuation of your business.
Other factors, such as market data, competitors, fixed assets, intellectual property and other intangible data and information are also considered in the valuation process.
At this phase, the Utopia Kingdom team will analyze and verify the data you have supplied to us.
Similarly, the business owner can also present any additional data and information that supports their proposed valuation of the business.
Approximately half of the businesses that start the discovery phase continue on to the completion of the valuation process.
MAKING AN OFFER
Making an Offer: Once our team has completed their due diligence of the business and has determined a fair valuation for it, the final phase is to present the offer to the business owner.
The offer can consist of an outright 100% acquisition of the business, a minority or controlling interest in the business, a partnership, or a combination of the above.
Acceptance of an offer from the business owner means that the business owner can expect a closing within weeks, sometimes even days – not months. Utopia Kingdom work swiftly and efficiently to close transactions for the benefit of all parties involved.
